Activision has just released a statement telling us why we are unable to connect to the online multiplayer servers. Also this will explain why we have had issues over the past couple days connecting to friends.

“Randolf d’Amore, Activision Support, stated that the new patch is not related to the multiplayer not connecting. They had a server outage and they are adding more PS3 servers to meet huge PS3 MP demand.”
